Message It happened in a small little town called Sachse (off of highway 78, close to the new Firewheel Mall in Garland, for those of you in the DFW area). My girlfriend worked at a little pizza place in a strip mall, with a small parking lot.

I had borrowed my mothers car (1993 Lincoln Town Car, which I was convinced was "fast" since it had a V8) to go pickup my girlfriend from her work and take her to the movies. I get there about 8pm, but she tells me someone called in sick and she has to work another hour or so. No big deal, I'll just chill in the Lincoln.

I decided I'd just catch a short nap in the back seat (gotta love those bench seats). I left the rear passenger door open since so I could full stretch out, and put a rag over my face to block the dome light (because, you know, turning it to the OFF position would have took common sense).'

As soon as I first fall asleep, I feel a kick at my shoes, and take the rag off my face to the sight of a blinding light shining into my eyes. "Oh god, they're going to probe me!" was I believe the first thought across my mind. Turns out it's the Sachse PD, wanting me to step out of the vehicle.

I go ahead and get up and out of the car, to startled to even get my glasses from the front seat. He then started quizzing me why I'm laying asleep in the back of a car in the middle of an empty parking lot at 9pm with a rag over my face. I try to explain to him that I'm just waiting for my girlfriend to get off work, but he doesn't believe me. By this time 2 more of Sachse's finest join our little party, and one of them starts searching the car (without asking), tearing up the interior. I guess he was looking for drugs or alcohol, etc.

Another office then goes into my girlfriends place of work to question her. I later found out from my girlfriend that they were asking her if she was aware that I was outside waiting for her, double checking my name, my age, how did she know me, how long had she known me, etc.

During this entire time, they wouldn't even allow me to get my glasses out of the front seat, so I'm completely blind (very very poor eyesight without glasses/contacts, and even worse at night and with lights being shined into your face). And of course I'm absolutely terrified, being 16 and not used to dealing with the police. They make me walk a straight line, stand on one leg while counting, etc.

They finally decide that I'm not planning on kiddnapping my girlfriend, and let me go, but not before there is a total of 7 police cars (which is the entire Sachse PD). He then tells me "I better not catch you hanging around here again", as if I was commiting some terrible crime.

Well after the whole incident, me and my girlfriend decide to just go to her house, as we're both a little shook up and not really in the mood to see a movie anymore. As we drive off, I notice a police car following us from a ways back, without *any* lights on. He follows us to her house, and is still there 4 hours later to "escort" me out of Sachse.

Worse part of the night? Girlfriend accidently breaks my glasses, and I get to drive home in drizzling rain, at night, while I can't see jack ****. And it was a 30 mile drive, lol. Took me over an hour.

Such fun.
